Building the Electroacoustic guitar: Sixto

This page is dedicated to a close-up into the construction process of the bonzomusic electroacoustic guitar model named “Sixto”.

The Sixto is an electroacoustic guitar made for blues, jazz, country, rock and pop music.

The body and neck are made of mahogany. The bridge and fingerboard are made of rosewood. The bridge and the nut are made of bone.

One volume permits the control of feedback and the ideal output preferred by the musician.

The Sixto has a unique artesanal pick-up. It is a P90 made with an Alnico II  magnet. It gives back a medium output (6,7k) and a natural sound.

The sound of the Sixto is warm and well defined.

The 7 holes on the top allow more air into the sound.

The Sixto has completely embty body, apart from a little backbone which goes from the neck pocket to the bottom of the guitar (see picture below).

The neck-through-body construction adds nice feedback and presence to the sound.

A light sunburst gives to the Sixto an elegant and simple look.
